EXPERIENCE

I started out working at a private psychiatric hospital as residential floor staff. After graduate school my first job was with the Massachusetts Department of Youth Corrections as a Mental Health Therapist working with teenagers serving one to three year sentences for violent crimes. I transitioned from MDYC to working in a residential home for boys and girls ages 8 to 18 providing individual, group and family therapy.

After successful years in residential treatment I transitioned to in-school therapy as well as outpatient therapy with children and adolescents. After several years working with the school systems, I accepted a position as an Adjustment Counselor in an elementary school focusing on behavioral issues within the school and supporting IEP and 504 requirements.
