I graduated from University of Tampa with a B.S in 1998. Upon graduation, I spent 5 years as an active duty Army officer. In 2005, I received my Masters in Education in school counseling from the University of Alaska with extended credits in mental health counseling.

After I graduated from college, I served in the Army as an officer. Due to my military family, we were stationed in many places. I volunteered with many mental health agencies from the Wounded Warrior Clinic, American Red Cross and other veteran and veteran family outreach programs. During this time, I also stayed active in the local school districts in Washington State, New York and Virginia. In 2016, I received a certificate in Addictions Counseling from Cleveland State and currently completing a Play Therapy endorsement. I have been a school counselor in Ohio and also North Carolina working with crisis intervention, behavioral interventions/ modifications, group counseling and 504/ IEP’s. I am finally returning home after being away 25 years and happy to be settled back home.

I believe therapy is a way for you to express your feelings, struggles, and experiences in a place of safety, comfort and acceptance. I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where you can process and overcome your struggles. I offer support and guidance as you process feelings related to issues that are getting in the way of a full and balanced life. Through the counseling process, my objective is for you to discover or re-discover your own power and ability to make the changes necessary for greater life satisfaction and happiness.
